We raise Finnsheep which is a wonderful breed of sheep known for its docile nature and medium size. We raise our Finnsheep for motherability, health, wool quality and nature. Finnsheep are a multi-purpose breed. Their meat is very lean and high in flavor. The wool is desired from hand spinners for its luster and medium staple. The Finnsheep colors vary from white, black, brown, gray, fawn and piebald. Many farms have found them to be a great addition to increase production, or just on a hobby farm for their friendly gentle nature and lovely wool.
We raise GreatPyrenees LGD's to protect our Finnsheep as well as our goats, chickens, cats and smaller dogs from the predators in our area. Our predators consist mostly of coyotes, owls and other birds of prey as well as domestic dogs. We have bobcats and a black panther in our area, but so far have not had problems with them coming near our property, as they stay closer to the cliffs and water. Our Pyrenees do a great job protecting their small flock of sheep and other farm animals. We chose the Great Pyrenees for various reasons including their gentle nature. New Litter Expected Soon - Taking deposits

PUPPIES available now.....Ashira and Max's litter should be born about the end of this year. If you are interested in purchasing a working puppy, see our Great Pyrenees page or contact me for more information. We also have a few adult Great Pyrs available if you need a dog for immediate protection.
We are currently taking deposits for our 2009 lambs! We have our new brown recessive ram and have bred him to our ewes that could carry the brown gene. Also, Misty (our grey ewe) was bred to our black ram and should produce some grey offspring. We will also have some black and white lambs available. Occasionally we get a piebald. We sell some of the Finnsheep for freezer lambs, pets or strictly for their wool as wethers. We try to raise our lambs as all natural. No antibiotics or other meds are given to any lamb, including their feed, unless there is an illness that requires it. We also only worm on an individual basis as needed rather than the entire flock at scheduled times. We feel this allows us to select sheep that are more resistant to worms as well as not giving unnecessary chemicals to sheep. This also helps prevent a build up of resistance in the flock.
We will have a few crosses available for your increased production. We offer ewe lambs with 50-75% Finnsheep parentage (sire). We also have a few ram lambs with 50-75% Finnsheep parentage. The breed used in cross production this year is Suffolk/Dorset.
We have sold all our fleeces for 2008. If you would like to purchase a fleece please contact me. We have black, white and black that fades to various colors. We have Finnsheep and Suffolk/Dorset/Finn fleeces available as well as lamb fleeces in various colors. Reserve your order early.
