* - Max, our AKC male mentioned as the father of the litter available below, is for sale.  He is a wonderful dog and he is able to take care of our sheep and goats with no problems.  He stays inside his fences.  We are selling him to make room to purchase an outside bloodline.  Max is intact and is a nice sized dog.  He has a friendly temperament and still loves to play with anyone willing.  We are very pleased with Max's first litter.  Max is from the 4-5-05 litter of Ginger and Sully.  He was the first puppy to welcome you to the sheep paddock, but he also showed appropriate interest in the animals for his age.  He has worked in the ewe pasture as well as the ram pasture.  He has been trained by his mother, his father and our alpha dog, Ashira.  I want to make it clear that we are NOT getting “rid” of Max because of any problems.  We just don’t have a large farm and we would like to add another outside bloodline.

* - Ashira and Max's first litter was born 9-15-06.  We only have two badger males left out of the nine puppies born.  If you are interested in a working puppy please contact me as soon as possible.  Giant and Badger are wonderful dogs and have been very good with the ewes lambing in the pasture, taking appropriate interest in guarding as well as taking care of the animals.  They are very gentle with the lambs.  Both puppies have a nice low pitched bark and they stay inside their fences.  They are not inclined to go over or under at this time.  They work well as a team and I will consider a discount if a farm is interested in purchasing both pups together.  Some delivery is available or we can also help you find transport.  Puppies start at $200 when they are 8 weeks of age and the price increases with experience.  Pups are currently priced at $300.  These pups are not AKC registerable but they are purebred {or fullblood for all the goat people.

We try to allow you to choose the puppy, but we want the right puppy to go to the right home.  Some puppies need a flock to guard and some really want that human interaction and will be a good family companion, guarding you and your property as it would livestock.  We will assess these pups to see their temperaments and match them to the right home so that each puppy has the best chance for a successful new home and owner.  I will need to know information on your farm, livestock and needs, or if you are just looking for a pet quality Pyrenees.

We offer training for your puppy if you are interested in keeping your puppy with its parents at Boulder Ridge Farm  We charge $125 a month up to six months of age.  If you cannot pick up your puppy before her first heat cycle {females only}, we will require $200 for the month she is in her heat cycle.  If you choose this option - a non-refundable deposit of $100 will hold the puppy to 8 weeks of age at which time the remainder is due.  We require payment in advance for each month of training.  {Month by month basis}  While your puppy is here in training, we will provide regular vet care, such as shots, worming, heartworm prevention and frontline applications.  You will be responsible for any other vet fees that arise.  If you would like to have your puppy spayed or neutered while under our care, we will be happy to assist you.  Pups that stay with an older adult learn the ropes faster and we can also help to train the dog to prevent bad habits a first time owner may not be aware of.

Here are Sully {on the left} and Max working.  The coyotes had begun to howl and the dogs were responding - letting the coyotes know their livestock and property is off limits.

  Puppies for sale

Badger is beautiful!  Giant is great!

Our puppies are all born in the barn and grow up with our Sheep (Finnsheep, Dorset, Suffolk and Lincoln crosses).  They will also be with our goats, chickens, cats, and other dogs.  They will be introduced fence to fence with horses.  Their parents are all on-site and are working dogs on our farm of 22 acres in Northeastern Oklahoma.  Pups learn to behave around both rams as well as ewes with newborn lambs.  Our chickens roam free and are constantly around the puppies...often helping them eat their food.

These Great Pyrenees have given us 100% protection from the coyotes and other predators in our area.  They are super dogs and our farm wouldn't be the same without them.  They have been great parents, watching and teaching their pups the tricks of the trade.  Below are the parents of our puppy litters.  Left to right (1) Ashira (non AKC purebred female) (2) Ashira welcomes Ginger (3) Ginger (AKC female) (4) Sully (AKC male).
